Lake Day 2019

9th May 2020 (12 noon - 5pm) POSTPONED - New date tbc

Celebrating the 91st anniversary of the opening of Clevedon Marine Lake – open access, open to all, year round. On the Saturday of May Day weekend, Marlens, the charity behind the restoration, management and further improvement of Clevedon Marine Lake, will host its fifth annual Lake Day to kick off a season full of life and activity on the lake, with taster sessions for children and other fun stuff going on lakeside – donations gratefully received.

The water will be cold, so it is recommended that children taking part wear a wetsuit.

Full details of activities taking place to follow shortly.

It’s a later start this year as there’s a high overtopping tide around 9am so the lower promenade will be unusable before 11am and will need to be cleared of any seaweed and debris before activities can commence.
